The “Cuvée weiß” from the winery Hahn-Pahlke in northern Palatinate is a classic among our BASF Exclusive wines. Young winemaker Thomas Pahlke is no longer an insider tip: Before joining the family business, he gained international experience in the Austrian Wachau, on Mallorca, and in New Zealand. Since then, together with his parents, he has kept the traditional winery on a course of quality - including official membership in the Bioland association since 2018.
For the “Cuvée weiß”, Thomas Pahlke brings together the classic Müller-Thurgau and the aromatic grape variety Scheurebe. Rounded up is this fruity composition by the grape varieties Cabernet Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc. The Scheurebe grape adds the floral style, and aromas of elderflower, lychee, and ripe peach. On the palate, the Müller-Thurgau grape provides a nice and fresh acidity that matches the soft mouthfeel. Cabernet Blanc and Sauvignon complete this light cuvée with citrus notes and hints of green pepper. A wonderful summer wine! Enjoy it with salads with a fruity dressing!
